Artist Statement
Hi, I'm Marianna Canu, a self-taught Italian born artist, living my dream in the vibrant city of New Orleans. Art is my oxygen, it fuels my soul and connects me to something greater. My work is a reflection of personal experiences, visions, and dreams unveiling an inner journey through multimedia expression. I explore themes of love, human connections, interconnectedness of all things, transformation, nature and the human spirit, creating pieces that invite you into a world beyond the seen, where everything is possible. I paint because I must. Because imagination deserves to breath and be shared. I believe that Art is the vessel to our desired destination.
