Rebus World
Imagine taking a walk through a garden, but instead of couples dancing under the trees or people playing with their kids, it is your whole life. The moment you come into this world, the moment you gain consciousness, and the further you go, you go deeper into your life. This is Rebus.
Rebus - The Garden Day 5… Nighttime
I love the night. The silence it brings allows me to reconnect with myself and to just live in the moment. This is exactly what my mind was going through while creating this piece. As you can see by the colors that I chose, this is what nighttime looks like in my vision of the Garden of Rebus. Silent and peaceful.

I have always loved the piano. Such a majestic instrument. So elegant and Powerful at the same time. Standing all by itself but yet it can create such beautiful music. It’s something I feel I always need to incorporate at some point in some of my paintings. Everytime I see one, I can’t help but get closer to touch it. I can’t play the piano, but it's always something I have wanted to do. This is how I envision one of the many days in the garden of Rebus. Bright and colorful and happy. Nature and music together almost as if it is a grand symphony.

Rebus - The Garden Day of Grace
This was the first painting of the series. This is the tree that I hope will lead you to use your imagination and help you see everything you wish to see. Just nature in its grand beauty and colors. Quiet, yet loud. While I was painting this piece, I could see myself walking through the garden as I was creating it. To me this is more than just a tree, rather, when I stand in front of this painting, I see where I am, and where I want to be.

Rebus - The Garden Tik-Tok… Time is On My Side.
This is the last painting of this chapter.. I have always had a fascination with time and older clocks. I have this clock in my house and I often find myself staring at it, and the only thing that I can think of is that every breath I take belongs to my future. Time is the only thing that we can not get back. I always believed time is what I make of it. This clock stands in the garden of Rebus with only the number 12. The other numbers are not present as they belong to the past, the reason being is that I choose to focus on the present, in the moment. In the world of Rebus midnight is not the end of the day but rather the beginning of a new one. Today is more beautiful than yesterday but not as beautiful as tomorrow.
Tik Tok…Tik Tok…Tik Tok…

This is the birth of Rebus, still covered in ivy, still connected to the tree, her mother. King of her territory, of her world, as she lays in her perfect colorful garden. Why day 29 you may be wondering? 29 is the day I was born, and I also consider it to be my lucky number. My life is my garden. When I say that art makes me conscious of the things that I cannot see, what I mean by that is that just because something is not in front of me doesn’t mean that I can’t see it.

Everyone is the King of their own story, as I am the King of my own. This was by far the most emotional painting of this series for me. You see a lion because that is the first thing that attracts your attention, but the lion is just a symbol. In this painting you see Rebus graciously embracing the lion( fear, challenges, obstacles) as she has gained strength, courage and confidence. Fear is no longer in her path. As I had to be the woman and the man, the mother and the father, I have overcome my challenges and I have conquered the formidable.
